Karen provides well-informed, responsive & enthusiastic service to sellers & buyers of real estate in Naples, Florida. She has lived in Naples since 1994, and, as your future real estate sales professional, offers her clients a fully-committed, yet low key and no-pressure approach to real estate representation. Her clients often become friends, and much of her business comes from the referrals of happy customers, local professionals, neighbors, and the like. She is a long-time resident of Old Naples & specializes in that neighborhood and surrounding areas on and near the beach & bay, including properties along Gulf Shore Boulevard North & South, Coquina Sands, The Moorings, Park Shore, Pelican Bay, including Bay Colony, Pelican Marsh, including the Golf Estates, The Dunes, as well as significant waterfront properties south of Old Naples in Port Royal & Aqualane Shores, & across Naples Bay in Royal Harbor. Originally from upstate New York, she moved to Florida in 1990 after graduating from the Cornell Law School, escaping the cold and launching her professional career. As a licensed Florida attorney, she practiced both real estate & pari-mutuel law. With the arrival of the first of her two daughters in 2000, she made the switch to sales that year & has enjoyed a successful, full-time career in real estate sales for over a decade. Last year, Downing-Frye Realty, Inc.. named Karen the “Top Listing Agent” out of 500+ agents. Karen regularly participates in continuing education seminars on a variety of topics, including technology developments, global marketing, and real estate trends for both residential & commercial properties. Her commitment to Naples & its residents extends to the many organizations that make this a great place to live seasonally or full-time. She is a supporter of numerous charitable groups benefiting the arts, children & animals, among many others. For over 2 years, she has written a monthly column called “Heart to Heart” for the Life in Naples magazine, highlighting the special needs & accomplishments of local not-for-profit organizations. Prior to that, she penned the “Slice of Life” column for the Naples Journal & sister publications the Pelican Bay & North Naples Journals for 7+ years. Karen devotes free time to biking & playing with her kids, reading, gardening, enjoying her pets, attending art shows & gallery openings, walks on the beach, especially at sunset, and occasional road trips. Additionally, she is working on two book projects involving the enduring connection of people to animals and, separately, Thoroughbred racing in the era of Exterminator, Sir Barton, & Man O’War.
